Counting for Srinagar Parl constituency tomorrow

 

Srinagar: The counting for Srinagar parliamentary constituency will be taken up at 8.00 am tomorrow (Saturday) and the results would be announced by 5.00 Pm in the evening.

A top official told KNS “Counting for Srinagar parliamentary constituency will be taken up at 8.00 am tomorrow and the results are likely to be announced by 5.00 Pm in the evening same day.”

The polling in Srinagar parliamentary constituency disturbed by some violent incidents in some areas of Budgam district was held on April 9 and re-poll in areas hit by violent incidents on last Sunday was conducted Thursday this week.

Just 7% turn out has been recorded in the Srinagar parliamentary constituency. National Conference President and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah the joint candidate of the opposition NC-Congress alliance is facing challenge from PDP’s Nazir Ahmad Khan the joint candidate of ruling PDP-BJP alliance.
