BHADERWAH,APR 23—- Forest Minister Chowdhary Lal Singh has passed instructions to conduct DPC in the department and release of wages of SFC employees who are on the deputation basis in forest department from the last three months . He further encouraged the villagers to plant at least 20 trees to compensate with rampant denudation of forest areas.Lal Singh, who was on an extensive tour of Bhaderwah , issued the instructions after launching plantation drive in the premises of TRC Bhaderwah .He appealed the villagers to stop cutting wood even from their private land and assured them providing the same as and when the need arises through the government timber sale depot on low rates .Lal Singh inspected various ongoing development works and held public meetings at Dakbunglow ,Bhaderwah .“The people’s participation should be central to the efforts of the government in saving our green gold,” Singh said addressing a meet at Dak bunglow ,Bhadewrah . Minister said when he assume the chair of forest minister he frame a policy to look into the all matters of employees which are pending from the last 30 years and now soon DPC will be conducted in the department and all will get justice . He further said that a comprehensive plan with focus on forest conservation can only protect our environment.He also inspected all check posts in Bhaderwah division and issued instructions to the senior officers of the Department to carry out inspections and visits to the forest check posts and other units which are supposed to be functional during night.“If officials aren’t taking their job seriously, they have no right to be in the system,” the Minister said, adding “a culture of honest and accountable working has to be developed among the official machinery which would help the system to grow and help it serve the people better. Minister also expressed satisfaction over the working of forest department employees in whole Chenab valley and appreciated the working style of all DFOs .MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar , Munish Kotwal , District President BJP Adv Manjeet Razdan and other were also present in the meeting . Earlier BJP workers led by Munish Kotwal gave a rousing reception to Minister at Domial on Bhaderwah Doda road .
