DODA,APR 23— In connection with the World Book Day a day-long exhibition of rare books and manuscripts organized by Directorate of Libraries & Research, was held at District Library Doda here. The Chief Education Officer Doda , Mohd Ashraf Rather , inaugurated the exhibition who was the chief guest on the occasion and lauded the work of the organizers. He said the education department will provide all possible support in maintaining and digitization of the rare books and manuscripts.On the occasion some rare manuscripts and texts in English, Urdu, Arabic, Persian and Sanskrit languages were put on display to the treat of book lovers. Renowned educationist Fareed Ahmed Zargar while giving his remarks said that hosting of paper reading sessions and book exhibitions helps to spread awareness among people about importance of books. Noted educationist Ayaz Mughal and a large number of people, mostly local authors, scholars and book lovers also spoke on the occasion .
