Kupwara: Massive clashes between villagers and forces erupted in Kupwara villages after the encounter was over, on Thursday.
Reports said that Clashes erupted in Panzgam and Kralpora area of the district. The villagers were demanding the mortal remains of slain militants killed with government forces early this morning.
However, police deployed in the area used tear gas to disperse them, triggering clashes between the two sides.
Three army soldiers and two militants were killed in the attack at an army camp in Panzgam.
Five soldiers were also wounded in the pre-dawn attack.
