Ganderbal: The students of the Government high school Sumbal, in morning hours boycotted their classes and joined their parents on Srinagar Leh National highway to protest the transfer of one favorite teachers from the school.
Over scores of students who stood in morning time held placard and shouted “we want justice, Hilal sahab ko wapas karo.”
According to the Student of government high school Sumbal in Gund Tehsil, that there Math teacher, who recently shifted to another school should be brought back, they said.
The department has shifted our favorite teacher to other school in mid session, which will in effect leave the students disturb. “Is this right? This is not right, it is not fair, what will happen to them how will they adjust now in mid session” one parent said.
The protested students said that it is now very difficult for us to adjust with newly Math teacher which perish our precious time, we want our Math teacher back.
“Hilal sahab is a very good teacher, he takes our classes with friendly surrounding like a good teacher and we just want to move the teacher back, that’s not right to shift our favorite teacher in middle session, everybody is angry about it” they added.
Later ZEO Hariganwan Abdul Rehim with other officials reached the spot and pacified the protesters after getting some assurance the students dispersed the protest.
As per sources the ReT teacher namely Hilal Ahmad deputed last year as a temporary basis in the school due to unavailability of Math teacher, now after the availability of Math teacher in high school we deployed Hilal Ahmad (ReT) teacher back to his original place of posting at Middle School Hilpatti, so now we can,t depute him back, official said.
