Army officer, BSF trooper killed, 3 others injured in ‘Pak firing’
Poonch: Two troopers were killed and three others including an army officer received serious injuries after Pakistani forces allegedly attacked several posts in border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.
A police official told news agency GNS that Pakistani forces targeted some posts along Line Of Control (LoC) in Krishana Ghati sector today morning. A team of Border security force (BSF) 200 bn and army’s 22 Sikh Regiment housing the posts namely ‘Kranti -1’ in the area and are guarding the fence when they were fired upon heavily with motor shells and rockets from the other side.
In the incident, three army men including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and two BSF men received serious injuries, he said.
All the injured were immediately evacuated to the army hospital where JCO Subedar Paramjeet Singh and a BSF trooper Havaldar Pram Sagar succumbed to injuries. GNS
