KULGAM: Suspected militants fire upon a vehicle of a bank at Pombai in south Kashmir’s Kulgam distric, resulting into the death of 6 persons including 4 policemen and 2 bank officials, reports said.
Reports said that the gunmen opened fire on a cash van of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Pombai village of the district adding that several policemen were on board when the attack took place.
A News gathering agency quoting police officials said that 4 policemen and 2 bank officials were killed in the attack.
Pertinently the van was heading towards Kulgam after unloading cash at Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Nehama village.
However, the identity of the slain could not be ascertained. More details are awaited.
