Lack of Airtel towers slow down mobile services in Tral Villages

Tral : Airtel, the country’s largest private cellular network provider, is lacking towers in some areas of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, creating hardships among the subscribers there.

According to the reports, People of Ourigund and Narastan areas of Tral are up in arms against the Airtel authorities for not providing mobile towers to their villages, despite back to back requests from people in last couple of years.

A delegation of people from these areas told Kashmir Age that “We are facing immense problems due to lack of Airtel towers in our areas as signal is remaining weak all the time”.

“As i am reaching home from work , the network is going off , which is always giving me tough time “, said Mohd Ashraf, a local resident from Ourigund Tral, adding that despite several requests, nothing has been done so far to mitigate this problem in the area.

The people requested the authorities to install the towers in both the areas , so that locals may not suffer more in future.
