Ganderbal: Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice, Abdul Haq Khan, today convened a meeting to review the functioning of the different schemes through Department of Rural development in this central district of Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by various senior officials of the Department, Haq Khan examine various schemes and exhorted upon the officials to speed up the pace of various works and development projects being executed in the district and asking them to perform duties with dedications.

There is no dearth of funds under schemes in district  for development activities and government is making full efforts to optimally utilize these resources for maximum output. He further  informed to general public that all the officers remain available to them for redressing their grievances, ensuring maximum benefits to the people by involving them through different schemes.

Haq Khan assured that the government is committed for the welfare and prosperity of the people by involving them in every sphere of development process. The government is also working hard to bring Rural development department to the forefront by working in an open, transparent and corruption free manner.

The Minister also reviewed block and panchayat wise performance and took stock of physical and financial achievements under various schemes.

Later Haq Khan called women organisation to take benefits of different schemes in district and listen their demands seriously, He informed officials for giving special attention towards public especially women social organisation demands and emphasized for equal distribution of funds to various constituencies under schemes.

DDC Ganderbal Mr Tariq Hussian Ganie, SSP Ganderbal, Director Rural Development, senior officials of different departments, VLWs were present on the occasion.
