Malik pays tribute to late Sardar Rashid on his anniversary

Condemns prolonged incarceration of ailing DeM chief
Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday paid tributes to late JKLF leader, Sardar Rashid Hasrat on his death anniversary.
Terming Hasrat as ‘one of the most creative leader, a passionate freedom lover and a humble soul’, JKLF chairman according to the statement issued to KNS said that late Hasrat was a close associate of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Aman ullah Khan who strived for the freedom of his nation and till his last breath remained wedded to this sacred cause.
“His struggle for the reunification of Jammu Kashmir and complete freedom of his nation will always be remembered and written in golden words,” added JKLF chairman.
He said that Hasrat was a prolific speaker, a passionate spokesman of JKLF ideology and a teacher who trained thousands of young Kashmiris the way to resist ‘oppression, tyranny and illegal occupation’.
Malik said that “despite all odds and many hardships late Hasrat never looked back in his life and till his last breath remained wedded to the cause of reunification and freedom of Jammu Kashmir.”
JKLF chairman said that struggle, sacrifices, bravery and passion for freedom of Hasrat will always be remembered and today “when we are recalling this great son of soil, we pray to Allah almighty for his heavenly abode.”
Meanwhile, the spokesman said that a congregational prayers meeting was held at JKLF office Srinagar in which tributes were paid to Lt Sardar Hasrat.
Meanwhile, JKLF chairman strongly condemned the prolonged incarceration of Dukktaran I Millat chief, Aasiya Andrabi who is in police lockup from last many days.
“Asiya is ill and was taken to chest disease hospital and doctors have put him on oxygen. She has been again shifted back to police station Rambagh,” he added.
Terming the incarceration of an ailing lady as most condemnable, JKLF chairman said that “by prolonging the incarceration of an ailing lady, the rulers and their police are actually stooping to new low of decency and are trampling every bit of democracy and ethics.”
