Ganderbal: The department of Rural Development Department besides civic body today launched a grand sanitation drive in Manigam aimed at clearing all places in area. The drive that was started here from Manigam village up to bypass in this central Ganderbal district.
To make the area clean the department of Rural Development department besides panchayat halqa Manigam A,B is gearing up for an intense cleaning drive ahead of the polythene collection drive to be carried out with the support of clean Manigam village, the sanitary workers along with other civic body were deputed in different parts of the Manigam and to clear the roads. The main thrust of the drive is to create awareness among general public and to do away with littering of surroundings,” it said.
The drive will generate awareness among the villagers, for maintaining cleanliness in area will help the people with any filth smell and deadly disease, scores of plastic bottles, wastes were picked up from the area and disposal all wastage. Altogether two dozens of workers, panchayat halkas besides civic body, G.R,s were participated in the cleanliness drive with great enthusiasm and dedication.
