Two brothers drown in river Jhelum at Uri

 

BARAMULLA: Two brothers are feared killed after they drowned in Jhelum river in Gantmulla area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.

Reports said that the duo Tanveer Ahmad and Zahoor Ahmad – were washing cattle on the bank when one of them slipped into the river.

They said that the second brother jumped into the river to save the other one.

reports said that both are feared killed, adding that their bodies are yet to be fished out of the river.

Station House Officer (SHO) Boniyar, in Uri Feroz Ahmad said the drowning and said the search has been launched. (PTK)
