SRINAGAR: Massive clashes erupted in Nowhatta area of Old City in Srinagar after the Friday prayers between youth and security forces.
Reports said that scores of youth assembled raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans in Nowhatta chowk. Forces deployed in the area stopped protesting youth who were pelting stones, triggering clashes. Police used tear teargas shells and stun grenades to disperse the protesters.
