Mobile Internet services restored in Kashmir
SRINAGAR: Mobile Internet services were restored in Kashmir valley on Friday evening after seven days.
All 3G, 4G services were restored as earlier a day before only 2G service was restored. Pertinently internet services were shut to prevent “spread of rumours” following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sabzar Ahmad Bhat and his associate in an encounter with government forces in Tral region of south Kashmir.
The killing of Sabzar Bhat, successor of slain Hizb commander Burhan Wani, had triggered widespread protests across Kashmir valley on Saturday morning.
The mobile Internet and mobile phone services were suspended hours after the killing of Bhat and his associate Faizan Muzaffar in Saimoh village of Tral.
