Four Militants Killed After They Attacked CRPF Camp in North Kashmir’s Sumbal Area
SRINAGAR: Four militants were killed on Monday at Sumbal, Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir by CRPF, after they attacked a CRPF camp. “Militants tried storming camp around 3:30 am to execute a fidayeen attack. Thwarted, 4 militants gunned down,” Yogesh Kumar, Sub Inspector CRPF told news agencies.
The heavily armed militants tried to enter the camp of 45 Battalion CRPF at Sumbal in Bandipora am by opening fire at the sentry post, a police official said. The forces retaliated heavily and killed four militants. “Four militants were killed in the retaliatory firing and the suicide attack was foiled”.
“AKs and huge quantity of grenades recovered. I compliment the alertness of CRPF & J&K Policemen,” confirmed DGP.(Agencies)
