Police Public Library for Competitive Exam Aspirants Dedicated to People in Baramulla
BARAMULLA: Sh. Nitish Kumar IGP today dedicated Police Public Library established by J&K Police to people of Baramulla. A large galaxy of eminent citizens including academicians and students were present on the occasion. The library shall be catering the needs of aspirants of various competitive examinations especially civil service aspirants and those aspiring forJEE/NEET. There has been a persistent demand from enlightened citizens of Baramulla to establish a library facility for the benefit of aspirants of civil services and other competitive exams like JEE,NEET etc.While this was brought into the notice of Sh. S P Vaid DGP J&K, he was kind enough to grant the required funds and today the said facility was inaugurated.
On this occasion Sh Nitish Kumar said that With this humble beginning today the endeavor is to provide all requisite facilities to aspirants of various competitive examinations.In the initial stage books pertaining to competitive examinations and general interest have been made available as also the internet facility for downloading the study material. Also a xerox machine will remain available to give study material to beneficiaries at actual cost on no profit basis.
He said in times to come the aim is to make this a full fledged Centre for career foundation and advancement with facilities of On-line digital library, guidance and counseling. Police department will also be organizing workshops and seminars for the benefit of boys and girls aspiring for better future in life.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Sh. Nasir Naqash, Advocate Abdul Salam Rather President Bar Association Baramulla, Dr Irshad Director North Campus Kashmir University also spoke on the occasion who commended J&K Police for taking this initiative for the benefit of aspiring candidates of competitive examinations. SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain thanked the people for coming forward with the idea and helping Police department in establishing the said facility.
