Youth dies in alleged security force firing in Srinagar
SRINAGAR: A youth, who was injured when security forces allegedly opened fire to disperse demonstrators on old airport road, died early this morning at SKIMS, official sources said here.
They said security forces opened fire when some people pelted stones on their vehicle at Rengreth on Srinagar-old Airport road last evening.
A 22-year-old youth, identified as Naseer Ahmad, resident of Ashtangoo, Bandipora, in north Kashmir, was injured in the firing, they said.
Naseer was admitted to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, massive protests erupted in Ashtangoo after the body of Naseer reached there. (UNI)
