Train services suspended in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Train services were suspended as a precautionary measure in Kashmir valley, where Joint resistance leaders have called for a general strike today in protest against the death of three youth, allegedly in security force firing during the last two days.

“We have suspended all train runs in the valley today,” a railway official told UNI.
He said train service from Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund to Banihal in Jammu region remained suspended since yesterday as a precautionary measure in view of fresh violence.
Meanwhile, he said train services from Srinagar-Badgam to Baramulla in north Kashmir have been suspended today.
He further said train runs were suspended, following a directive from the state administration and police.  (UNI)
