SRINAGAR: Thousands of people from different areas of Sopore town amid incessant rains reached Brath Kalan to offer funeral prayers of Gulzar Ahmad Lone. Gulzar was killed in an encounter with forces in Pazalpora area of Sopore along with his associate Basit Ahmad of Andergam Pattan.
He had joined militant ranks in 2015. Amid sobs, Women at his home, waiting for his body to arrive, holding a pot full of candies in their hands showered the body of militant with candies.
Meanwhile his father Ghulam Mohammad Lone with his eyes moist, addressed the mourners and appealed the people to safeguard scarifies of “martyrs”.
