SRINAGAR: As per the programme of the joint resistance leadership, senior Hurriyat leaders including chairman of Islamic Political Party – JK Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and JKLF (H) chairman Javaid Ahmad Mir today addressed people at Shunglipora, Noor Bagh in Srinagar.
The leaders in connection with the observing of last Friday of the holy month of Ramadhan as “Youm-ul-Quds” and “Youm-e-Kashmir” presented the resolution of joint resistance leadership before people for their endorsement.
They asked people to make a pledge to continue with the freedom struggle till the nation achieves its right to self-determination.
In their address, Naqash and Mir said while it is imperative for the Muslims the world over to strive for the liberation of Palestine, the same duty is levied on Muslim world to seek end to Indian occupation of Kashmir.
They said the international community and world bodies are also duty bound to resolve the issue of Kashmir which is one of the oldest disputes pending in the United Nations.
The Hurriyat leaders on the occasion prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being of the Muslim nations that are caught in uncertain political conditions.
They also paid tributes to all the martyrs of Kashmir and prayed for well-being of those who fell victims to state-sponsored brutalities since last year.
