Markets in Srinagar witness huge rush ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr

Srinagar/Ganderbal: Kashmir valley is witnessing huge rush of shoppers as people came out in large numbers to shop for Eid-ul-Fitr, likely to be celebrated tomorrow, preparations to celebrate the religious event are in full swing in parts of Kashmir.
As the Muslims follow Lunar calendar, the fasting month of Ramadhan will come to an end with the sighting of crescent this evening or tomorrow evening.
Bakeries, confectioneries witnessed heavy rush of customers as Muslims started preparing for the Eid-ul-fitr festival, shopping outlets dealing with clothing including kids wear, footwear also saw brisk sales from early in this Sunday morning at different parts of Srinagar and Kangan, Safapora, Lar in this central district Ganderbal.
The women, in particular are seen busy at Srinagar, Ganderbal markets in shopping of groceries for cooking delicious food to celebrate festival of Eid.
The roadside vendors have also set up stalls in Srinagar, Ganderbal including other parts of Kashmir Valley, selling all kinds of merchandise.
As per the reports available with Kashmir Age, serpentine queues were witnessed at ATM outlets for Eid shopping in every districts of Kashmir valley.
Massive traffic jams were also seen on roads of Srinagar including Beehama, Duderhama of this Central Kashmir,s district, eyewitness said.
