Amarnath yatra resumes in Baltal, Pahalgam routes, suspension continues in Udhampur, Ramban

Srinagar/Jammu: Pilgrimage to holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas resumed from both shortest Baltal and traditional Pahalgam routes after remaining suspended in the morning for few hours due to heavy rains.

“The pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine has been resumed after improvement in the weather conditions,” official sources.
The yatra was suspended for few hours in the morning due to heavy rains on both the routes.
However, they said as the weather improved, yatris were allowed to move towards the holy cave shrine from both the routes.
Similarly, they said pilgrims, who paid obeisance and stayed at the holy cave shrine overnight, were also allowed to move towards Baltal base camp.  (UNI)
