No differences between coalition partners, GST will soon be implemented in J&K: Jitendra
JAMMU: Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh today said that there are no differences between coalition partners in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and Goods and Service Tax (GST) will soon be implemented here. “Both coalition partners (PDP-BJP) are on same page and there is no difference of opinion as far as the GST is concerned,” Dr Jitendra Singh here told reporters at the sideline of party’s monthly meeting. He said, “both the partners have consensus on GST and I hope that way out will be found and the GST will soon be implemented in the state.” “I feel that the political parties raising objections on GST implementation in Jammu and Kashmir, might have realised that it’s introduction is in the interest and welfare of the state,” he said. “They might have their own view point out of their political considerations, but I feel that GST will soon be implemented in J&K,” said the Union Minister. J&K has missed the deadline of July 1 in implementing GST while a special Assembly session has been called from July 4 to 8 in Srinagar. Dr Singh on Kashmir situation said, “there has been selective condemnations of violence and killings but I think common people of Kashmir–youth of Kashmir have awakened enough.” (UNI)
