Media walked out, boycotted J&K LA proceedings on GST
SRINAGAR: Entire media today walked out from Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and decided to boycott the proceedings in protest against the Government’s decision not to allow video, still cameras and mobile phones inside the House.
As soon as the Members entered the House, mediapersons, representing local, national and international media organisations walked out from the Press Gallery.
The Opposition members, including National Conference were seen raising slogans against the coalition Government for media gag.
‘Where is the press?’ the Opposition Members were asking.
The mediapersons later decided to boycott the proceedings of both the Houses in protest against not allowing video and photo journalists besides mobile phones inside the Assembly. (UNI)
