Life affected due to strike called by JKCC against GST, arrest of leaders

SRINAGAR: Life was affected due to a strike called by Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee (JKCC), an amalgam of trader bodies and civil society against detention of trader leaders and activities, which has been protesting against implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in its current form in the state.

Shops and the business establishments remained closed in major towns and tehsil headquarters in the Kashmir Valley, including restriction free areas of Srinagar, where state lawmakers are participating in a debate at a four-day special session of Legislature since yesterday on implementation of GST.   (UNI)
