Soz condemns killing of Amarnath yatris, says it goes against Kashmir’s ethos
SRINAGAR: Condemning the killing of Amarnath yatris in a militant attack in Anantnag last night, senior Congress leader and former union minister Saifuddin Soz said this barbaric act was against the very grain of the Kashmir’s ethos (Kashmiriyat).
Seven yatris, including five women, were killed and 19 others were injured in the attack.
“The killing of several Amarnath yatris by marauders, the other day at Anantnag, constitutes a heinous crime against humanity.
This barbaric act is against the very grain of the Kashmir’s ethos (Kashmiriyat) and I strongly condemn it.
In fact, words fail me to express my grief adequately,” he said. (UNI)
