Vijayawada: Unidentified miscreants robbed seven kg gold at knife point from a gold jewellery making unit, located at Gopal Reddy road, very near the Besant road.
Police said that seven to eight miscreants barged into the jewellery making unit, located on the first floor of a building, after 2200 hrs last night. They threatened about 15 workers in the unit at knife point and decamped with seven kg gold biscuits and jewellery worth over Rs two crore.
Two brothers hailing from West Bengal- Shankar Munna and Subhash Munn, were running the jewellery making unit, which supplies jewellery to various shops. (UNI)
