Fresh batch of 959 pilgrims leave Jammu for Amarnath
JAMMU: A fresh batch of 959 Shri Amarnath pilgrims today left from Yatri Niwas base camp here amid ‘bam bam bhole’ chants for the holy cave shrine in South Kashmir.
The pilgrims left in a cavalcade of 38 vehicles.
The yatris comprised of 759 male and 200 female.
Pilgrims left for Pahalgam and Baltal to perform the pilgrimage in 38 vehicles, including 21 buses and 17 light motor vehicles.
“The yatra is smoothly heading on the highway,” a police official here said. (UNI)
