Fresh batch of pilgrims leaves for holy Cave

SRINAGAR: Fresh batch of pilgrims today left Baltal and Pahalgam base camps for the holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, where so far over 2.44 lakh yatris had paid obeisance since the commencement of the 40-day yatra from June 29.
Weather is pleasant and yatra is progressing smoothly from both shortest Baltal and traditional Pahaglam tracks, a yatra official told UNI this morning.
He said 678 pilgrims, including women and sadhus, left Bagwati Nagar, Jammu base camp for Baltal and Nunwan Phalgam base camps early this morning under unprecedented security arrangements.  (UNI)
