Curfew like restrictions imposed in SeK, downtown in Srinagar
SRINAGAR: Curfew like restrictions had been imposed since early this morning in the Shehar-e-Khas (SeK) and downtown Srinagar as a precautionary measure, apprehending trouble after Friday prayers.
The restrictions come a day after main opposition in the state National Conference (NC) tried to march to Raj Bhavan against killings, frequent curfew in the downtown and Shehar-e-Khas (SeK) and price rise of essentials.
Officials told UNI that restrictions under Section 144 of CrPC have been imposed under the jurisdictions of Police Stations Nowhatta, M R Gunj, Rainawari, Khanyar and Safakadal in Srinagar district as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incident. (UNI)
