KUPWARA |JULY 31 : Tehsildar Kupwara along with executive officer Municipal Committee Kupwara launched anti-polythene drive and seized 30 kilogram of polythene and realized Rs 6700rs fine from the shopkeepers today.
A team headed by Tehsildar Kupwara Nazir Ahmad shah along with Executive officer MC Kupwara.
The drive started from bypass road Kupwara including bus stand and main chowk Kupwara. The team recovered the polythene from various shopkeepers from main chowk they openly use the Polythene for without any fear of the concern authorities.
The team fine on spot for those shopkeepers who using the use of polythene. When Contacted Tehsildar Kupwara Nazir Ahmad shah, he said that the team raided various shops of Kupwara and seized thirty Kilogram of Polythene and fined Six thousand seven hundred rupees. He said the drive shall be continues if any use the Polythene they will be punished under Law.
