Train service resumes in south Kashmir
SRINAGAR: Train service has been resumed on Badgam-Srinagar to Banihal in Jammu region via south Kashmir after remaining suspended yesterday, while no train will operate in north Kashmir for security reasons.
‘We have resumed normal train service on Badgam-Srinagar in the central Kashmir to Anantnag-Qazigund in south to Banihal in Jammu region,’ a senior railway official said this morning.
He said train service on this route was suspended for security reasons yesterday.
However, he said, today trains will not chug on Badgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in north for security reasons.
Police said three Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) were killed at Amargrah, Sopore, in Baramulla district early this morning. (UNI)
