Freedom Party pays tributes to Sheikh Aziz, other martyrs
SRINAGAR: Paying glorious tributes to Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his 9th martyrdom anniversary, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Monday remembered all the martyrs of Jammu Kashmir.
A DFP spokesperson in a statement issued to press said the number of martyrs is increasing with each passing day. He said martyrs by rising above fear and greed have taught the nation a lesson that one should prefer death with honour than life with dishonour (slavery).
“If anyone wants to know the value of Azadi (freedom), ask the martyrs who have left every worldly affair for the freedom of their nation,” he said. “Those obsessed with membership of assembly or parliament cannot understand the meaning and value of Azadi.”
Paying tributes to all martyrs of Jammu Kashmir, the spokesperson said the struggle for the right to self-determination will continue till peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute is not found. “Kashmir is a political issue and needs to be resolved in a political way.”
The spokesperson also expressed grief over the loss of lives and properties across valley in last few days due to gunfights and said “until Kashmir is not resolved, this bloodshed will continue”.
