Srinagar: The Army Monday claimed to have foiled a major infiltration attempt by militants to cross over from Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK) into the Machhil sector by killing five militants “A major infiltration bid was foiled today in the Machhil sector by alert troops,” a defence spokesman said here. He said five militants were killed in the operation which was going on when reports last came in. During the search, five weapons have been recovered by the Army, the spokesman said.
Five militants were killed today by the army in Machil sector of the LoC where a major infiltration attempt by militants has been foiled.
“Five weapons have been recovered from the slain militants. The operation is still going on in the area,” Defence Ministry spokesman Col. Rajesh Kalia said.
