Jammu: Five persons were killed and nine seriously injured as a vehicle skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
The accident occurred on Suigwari-Chirala road near Puneja village, 22 kms from from Doda town.
The vehicle carrying 13 passengers was on its way to Chirala from Pul Doda when the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into 150-feet deep gorge, police officials said.

Calling the attempts to abrogate Article 35-A as a “very serious and critical matter”, Mirwaiz said: “Pro-India regional parties are duty bound to the people of JK not to allow it to happen and it is their responsibility to ensure that such designs are thwarted and resisted and the special status of the state protected at all cost.”
