Soldier wounded as militants open fire in Kashmir
SRINAGAR: A soldier was wounded after militants opened fire from a distance in frontier district of Kupwara, a defence ministry spokesman said.
The militants opened fire from a distance at Kalaroos in north Kashmir district of Kupwara late last night, resulting in injuries to a soldier, Col Rajesh Kalia said.
However, he denied the reports that there was attack on an Army camp.
Col Kalia said a massive search operation has been launched in the area from where the firing shots were heard. (UNI)
