Pak Independence Day After Allah, Pakistan only hope for Kashmiris: Geelani
Srinagar: Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani Sunday greeted the the people and the government of Pakistan on the eve of their Independence Day saying that after Allah Almighty, Pakistan is the only visible support to people of Kashmir.
In a statement Geelani said: “Strong and stable Pakistan is very important for the resolution of Kashmir issue. After Almighty Allah, we bank on Pakistan’s help for the resolution of Kashmir issue.”
He said: “We extend our heartiest felicitations to the people, government and army of Pakistan on their Independence Day celebrated on August 14. Kashmiri nation is highly grateful to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for extending its wholehearted moral, political and diplomatic support to our just cause and struggle since 1947.”
He said we pray to Almighty Allah for peace, strength, stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan. It is Pakistan that is taking up Kashmir issue in every forum at international level.
Geelani said the existence of Pakistan had proven to be a great blessing for the Muslims of the entire world especially for the Muslims residing in South Asia.
“Pakistan’s creation has played a vital role in the recognition of the existence of a community which was known as minorities in the sub-continent,” he said.
