Rail service remains suspended in valley
SRINAGAR: Train service remained suspended for the third day today for security reasons in south Kashmir, while no train will chug in north Kashmir.
All train runs between Badgam-Srinagar in the central Kashmir to Anantnag-Qazigund in south to Banihal in Jammu region remained suspended for the third day, a senior railway official said.
No train will run on this route, he said adding this decision was taken after a fresh advisory was received from authorities and police last night.
Train service will be resumed only after receiving green signal from the authorities.
He also said train service between Srinagar-Badgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in north Kashmir has also been suspended for security reasons. (UNI)
