Life crippled in Kashmir due to shutdown

SRINAGAR:  Normal life came to a grinding halt as shop and business establishments were closed and traffic was off the road in Kashmir Valley due to strike called by separatists on Independence Day.

Meanwhile, curfew-like restrictions continued for the second day today in Srinagar, where people remained indoors due to heavy deployment of security forces and police personnel to prevent any law and order problem. (UNI)
