Rail service remains suspended for 4th day in valley
SRINAGAR: Train service remained suspended for the fourth day today for security reasons in south Kashmir, while no train will chug in north Kashmir also on Srinagar-Baramulla track for the second day.
However, flag hoisting ceremonies will be organised at all Railway stations.
The main function of 71st Independence Day (ID) will be held at railway headquarter Badgam where Chief Area Manager will hoist national flag today.
All train runs between Budgam-Srinagar in the central Kashmir to Anantnag-Qazigund in south to Banihal in Jammu region remained suspended for the fourth day today, a senior railway official said this morning.
No train will run on this route, he said adding this decision was taken after a fresh advisory was received from authorities and police last night. (UNI)
