New Delhi: Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today met Saudi Arabia Ambassador Dr Mohammed Alsati and discussed the reviving of sending the Hajj pilgrims through sea route.
Mr Naqvi said a meeting on reviving the option of Hajj pilgrims through sea route will be held under the chairmanship of Union Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari on August 28, which will also be attended by senior officials of the Minority Affairs Ministry.
He also thanked the Saudi Arabia government for responding very positively to the suggestion.
The Minister said providing world class facilities to Hajj pilgrims was the main agenda of the new Hajj Policy, which is going to be unveiled soon.
