Srinagar, August 24: Pulwama police organized Sports Festival, inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for Revenue, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Parliamentary Affairs Shri Abdul Rehman Veeri at District Police Lines Pulwama.
Hon’ble minister while speaking on the occasion appreciated the large-scale participation of youths in different sports events. He hailed the youths of the area for taking part in such programmes for channelizing their energy in right direction.
Other dignitaries who attended the function includes MOS Forest, Ecology and Environment Shri Zahoor Ahmad Mir, MLA Pulwama Shri Mohammad Khalil Bandh, MLA Tral Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Commander 12 Sector RR Brig. Harbeer Singh Dy. Commissioner Pulwama Shri Ghulam Mohammad Dar and other police officers of the district. Besides, a galaxy of civil, Army, PMFs and Police Officers were present on the occassion.
Worth to mention that the Sports Festival was held in Anantnag, Awantipora, Bandipora and Shopian, yesterday. The sports festival in these districts will conclude on 28th of August 2017 in which three top teams/players of each event will participate at Range, Zone and State level subsequently.
