Rs 8,600 fine recovered during market checking in Central Ganderbal

Ganderbal: Acting upon the directions of Tehsildar Ganderbal Miss Rabiya Yousuf, market checking was intensified under the supervision of Naib Tehsildar Mohammad Ismaiel Wani at Central Kashmir Ganderbal market.
During the checking around dozens of shopkeepers were inspected, and fine of Rs. 8,600 was recovered from erring traders for violation of various laws. It was impressed upon the traders to ensure proper hygiene in sale of essential commodities such as meat, fruits, vegetables and other items.
During the checking, Shopkeepers, traders and fruit vendors were directed not to overcharge customers above the retail price. The officials also destroyed approximately 50kg rotten fruits and vegetables, in its ongoing drive, has seized 5.6 kgs of polythene bags from Ganderbal shopkeepers.
