Fidayeen attack forces Omar to change his travel plan from Mughal road  

Srinagar, Aug 26 : Former chief minister Omar Abdullah was forced to change his travel plan on historic Mughal road in the wake of a fidayeen attack on District Police Line (DPL) in south Kashmir district of Pulwama in the wee hours today.
Mr Omar was to travel to Surankote in Poonch through Mughal road from Shopian in south Kashmir this morning. The 86-km-long Mughal road connects Shopian in south Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region.
“Militant attack on the District Police Lines Pulwama an hour before I was going to drive through the area has forced a major change of plans,” Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter. (UNI)
