Three JeM militants killed in DPL Pulwama identified: Police

 

Srinagar: Police Sunday that that it has recovered all the three bodies of the militants who were killed during the attack on District Police Lines in Pulwama and has established their identity.

SSP Pulwama Choudhary Aslam told KNS that the three militants belonged to Jaish-e-Muhammad and have been identified as Dawood, Abu Bakar and Abu Saad.

Meanwhile, a shutdown was observed in Pulwama town today following the attack. Shops, business units and private establishments were closed while public traffic was off the roads; only private vehicles were seen plying on the raods.

Reports said that the slain militants were buried in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.

Meanwhile, a headless body of a civilian identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Parray of Hajin, Bandipora was recovered from the river Jehlum in Hajin area by police. Police said that it has registered a case and started inquest proceedings.

A shutdown was observed in Hajin after the body of the youth was recovered. (KNS)
