UN General Assembly President-elect calls on PM
New Delhi, Aug 28 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United Nations General Assembly President-elect Miroslav Lajcak today discussed the need for stronger UN action on major global challenges including terrorism and UN reform.
The issue of implementation of Sustainable Development Goals and climate change also figured in the interaction between the two when Mr Lajcak called on him today.
Mr Modi congratulated Mr Lajcak on his election to the post of President of the 72nd UN General Assembly and assured him of India’s full and constructive cooperation in discharging his new responsibilities.
