Srinagar: A protest against the National Investigation Agency (NIA) raids in Kashmir was held in Maisuma locality of Srinagar soon after the culmination of Friday prayers.
Scores of people led by JKLF activists took out a protest in Maisuma and raised anti-NIA and pro-freedom slogans, sources said.
The Indian investigation agency has arrested seven pro-freedom leaders, a businessman and two youth including a freelance photojournalist from Kashmir in alleged funding case.
It has also raided a number of residential houses of pro-freedom leaders, activists and businessmen so far.
The protesters carried banners and placards with slogans like ‘Release all political prisoners’, ‘Stop NIA terrorism in Kashmir’.
