Muzzafar Hussain Beigh Inaugurated the 10th Open National Taekwondo Championship
More than 1500 Atheletes Participating
Srinagar:The Mega Taekwondo Event “10th Open National Taekwondo Championship” for the first time in the history of J&K started at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Stadium Srinagar.
More than 1500 athletes from all over India re participating in the event which was declared open by Member Parliament Muzaffar Hussain Beigh who was the Chief Guest of the Occasion.
Waheed ur Rehman Parra Secretary Sports Council J&K was Guest of Honour and others present on this occasion include, Raj Kakati Vice President TFI, Nazir Ahmad Joint Secretary Sports Council, Haji Abdul Qayoon, Professor Bashir Ahmad Member Sports Council, Vinayak Gaikwad, Master Han from Korea, Suresh Parmar from Gujrat, Ishfaq Ahmad , H K Pangotra and Vivek Basan.
Congratulating J&K Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council, Muzaffer Hussain Beigh welcomed all the participants from different states.
He told that all the participating teams should act as brand ambassadors for Jammu and Kashmir, and will disseminate the message of the conducive and supportive environment offered here to them in their respective states and encourage others to visit J&K.
Muzaffar Hussain Beigh told that sports is not only important to build a good Physique but helps in building the character of a person.
Appreciating the arrangements and the entire set up of the event he pledged his support for all such sporting functions in the future as well.
While talking to Media Atul Pangotra International Player, Refree and Coach Team India who is also the event manager told that the support from the Government Particularly the personal overview by the Secretary J&K Sports Council Wahid ur Rahman Parry has made the event a grand success and hope in future J&K will host such National and International Level Events also.
