Four killed after car plunges into gorge on highway

 

Jammu: Four people were killed in a road accident on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

A car travelling from Ramban to Srinagar fell into a 400-feet deep gorge while negotiating a curve at Kela Morh around 1435 hours, resulting in the death of four persons, a police spokesman said.

Bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the scene by the rescuers who are still searching the area.

The identity of the deceased was being ascertained, the spokesman said.
