College years are the best time for you to travel. Getting permission from parents is not as tough and there is no boss yet to cancel your leave request. The coursework isn’t much either so if you can sort out the money issue, the road is open. College is that time when you’re no more a kid but still not an adult. Travelling to different parts of the country, seeing new things and meeting new people can go a long way in shaping you as a person. On the morning of 12th September, I went to visit the Gulmarg the most beautiful place also called the “Heaven of tourists and meadow of flowers” along with my friends and teachers of Amar Singh College of Chemistry department. I was very excited because it was a great opportunity for me to enhance my knowledge on our rich kashmir history. Then we saw the India’s top most research center “Baba atomic research centre” (BARC) our guide (Mr imtiyaz Ahmad Wani) who conducted an interactive session on the history of the Baba atomic research centre, told us everything about the BARC. As we entered the BARC where we saw the most beautiful Museum in which we saw the equipments which has been used by our forces during battles, wars. Shoes, jackets, tents, specks and many other things used for battle’s. After that, we went to the park a huge gathering of tourists inside of park adorned with beautiful carvings and designs.
Before couple of days when the student’s of my class decided to go on picnic for Gulmarg. It was a great day for the students. All of us gathered at the fixed place at least one hour before our teacher arrived. We had hired a bus to reach the College. Every one tried to get a seat of his choice in the bus and sit with their own friends, When our bus started, the mischiefs of the boys also started. They had invented new things about this particulars occasion. They were telling new jokes, singing new song and giving account of their strange experiences. All of these were any attempt to make their friends to laugh. Some of the students formed groups and every group to make the target for their jokes to the rival ones, so that their colleagues can laugh. But they did not go to the extent to fight with each other. Their teachers who used to be strict in class rooms were encourging to the students in their jokes. They were also feeling themselves young in the company of your students. After a long journey of about three to four hours we reached on the beach were students played various games and sung different songs. We had lunch there all the students sat on the earth had enjoyed the lunch which they had brought from their houses. In the evening they returned back. All fo them had enjoyed it very much and were very happy.
On the day of the picnic, we woke up very early and were all excited to be going. Our homemates packed for us lots of food items for their loved ones also and put them all neatly in a picnic bag. On reaching college, all of us were very much excited and happy and had lots of food with all of us. We boarded the school bus to go and we had many teachers who were accompanying us. We started the journey and it was so much fun. We sang in the bus and enjoyed. We first went to the museum. There we saw many equipments and other items that were related for our studies. The teachers and museum guard explained to us what each one was and it was very much informative to be there.
Once we finished lunch, it was time for us to enjoy with friends and start horse riding and then return back. We all boarded the bus and the teachers checked if all of us were there and then we returned back to school. It was great fun and lots of enjoyment that we had and I really enjoyed the picnic from school that we had. As we know picnic is the part of life for every age group it can be defined as an outing for joy. In the busy routine life, man has no time to spend in the company of nature.People work the whole day. They take no interest in the forms off beauty. In this state of affairs, an outing is necessary to make life enjoyable. After such an activity, we find a new zeal in every thing we do. So such activities are inevitable to promote our efficiency for work. There are various ways in which a man entertains himself. Picnic is kind of open air entertainment. It is a feast in the forest, the participants, with all their necessary articles, go to the woods where they cook together, sit together and eat together. Then they come back with light heart and happy mind.
In conclusion having said that I would make an important point here that the friends are the precious gift given by the God. “Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.” Though some natural loners are happy without them, most of us depend greatly on the company of true friends. As with any relationship, friendships bring support and joy and occasionally strife.
